We believe that Rainbow Club qualifies under both CORE and CAPACITY BUILDING funding arenas within the NDIS and we have many members utilising their NDIS budget to fund Rainbow Club membership.
PLEASE NOTE: Rainbow Club is a "RECREATIONAL SPORTS CLUB" providing specialist services to its members to enable them to participate in community activities, particularly when the participant is at risk of being socially isolated.
Further; we believe that we qualify under such NDIS codes as 12_027_0126_3_3 and 04_106_0125_6_1 and the like.
The NDIS Price Guide "Assistance with Social and Community Participation (Support Category 1.04)" states;
"Community and social activity costs
This support is included in a participant’s plan to enable them to pursue recreational activities and engage in the community. As a core support it may be used for activities such as camps, vacation and outside school hours’ care, course or membership fees. The intent of this Support Item is to provide funding to enable a participant to participate in community activities, particularly when the participant is at risk of being socially isolated. Funded hours in a Community Access budget may be converted to a fee and claimed by a provider for these purposes."
Rainbow Club is a small member based Incorporated Association registered in Victoria (ARBN 629 295 487). Its turnover does not meet the threshold for GST thus is not registered for GST. ABN: 31 629 295 487
The constitution defines a member as “A person with a clinically or medically diagnosed disability or special need who is under 18 years of age; or a person who is actively undertaking clinical or medical diagnostic analysis for a medically diagnosed disability or special need who is under 18 years of age who applies and is approved for membership as provided in these Rules is eligible to be a member of the Association on payment of the membership fee and annual subscription payable under these Rules"
